The Work

Anaëlle is in seventh heaven! She feels like she’s living a wonderful fairy tale where the love that has brought her and her best friend Axel together is about to be confirmed by a wedding.

When the bells ring, the lovers swear to love each other for ever and “for better or for worse” – but that is without counting on Diane, Prince Charming’s mother, who decides to show her daughter-in-law just what “worse” can mean.

If her marriage is to have any chance of working, Anaëlle will have to deal with her mother-in-law’s sly blows and sneakiness.

The Author(s)

Laure Allard d’Adesky loves her family, her animals and good wine, and she is addicted to romantic comedies and horror films. She published her first children’s book in 2014, following it in 2016 with the first volume of the Burger Royal saga, the second volume of which came out in October 2017. When not working on children’s books, she writes stories with strong heroines who live according to the times and speak their mind. My mother-in-law hates me is her third novel.
